Last night my girlfriend and I took in the Sabres vs Penguins game at the brand new Consol Energy Center. Below are my overall impressions of the arena, and how the Sabres need to take a small page out of the Penguins with their Pre-Game and In-Game ice presentation.

As the Sabres play in Pittsburgh tonight, their top scorer will be out. Thomas Vanek has yet to leave the hotel yet this morning due to the flu, and is expected not to play.
